Kind Fierce Brave for Bee Arty

Hi everyone.
Sharing another art journal again today.  I really have only a few pics to share.  I got so lost in this one I totally forgot.

The background was done by paining on different colours of Bee Arty Colour Shimmer Dust.  Starting with Lush for the grass, then adding some Peacock and finishing off with Cobalt.

For darker shades I just use a higher concentration of the colours.

I then used one of my fave stencils, The Owl and the Pussycat.  I have used this with some Heavy Black Gesso, applied with a wedge makeup sponge.

The stars have been added the same way, this time with Heavy White Gesso and the That Way Stencil.  Of course as I finished my page I dropped black gesso right in the middle.  I just added some more stars to help hide this.
The sentiment along the bottom has been done with the Kind Heart Stamp Set.

Hope you've been inspired.

Broken Crayons Still Colour for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, hope you're all safe and well.   Today I have another art journal share from my 6x6, my favourite journal.

These pages were started by adding some different bright acrylic paints.

Once this was dry I added some writing in messy script.

I have used 2 of the Women in Black pieces as masks and dabbed black gesso around the page.  The women have then been highlighted by outlining with white gel pen.  An extra bonus using the black silhouettes as masks with black gesso, I still have them for another project.

For the other side I have just adhered one of the Women in Black and outlined her in white gel pen.  The title was taken from the Art Inspiration Rice Paper.

Rose Reveal for Bee Arty

Hi everyone, popping in today with an art journal page.

The base was done with some Lollipop Colour Shimmer Dust.  I brushed it on with a really wet brush.  While it was still wet I flicked on some Midnight Shimmer Dust and it gave a really nice burst time effect.

I then used some Heavy Black Gesso with the Rose Reveal Stencil.  This was then outlined in white and a few splashes of Heavy White Gesso mixed with water were added.

I die cut the Butterfly Effect Die from a piece of scrap that had been coloured also with Lollipop Shimmer Dust.  This was also outlined with white pen and a little black gesso was added to the edges to help it stand out a little.

The black and gold 'sequins' are once again left overs from a previous project.  The how to for that can be found by clicking on the pic below.

Hope you've been inspired ♥

Live Life Believing for Scrap FX

Hi there, welcome to my first project for October.

I have created an art journal page with some mop ups of gloss spray.  I've used the Rose Garden Stamp and stamped this on deli paper a few times.  This has then been adhered to the backgound to make a cluster of flowers.  Some messy water colouring has added to these.

The Toadstool B Chipboard has also been coloured with watercolours.  I added a layer of gloss gel to this to brighten it up a little.  It was finished off with some Nuvo drops, a little black pen and a quote from the Dream Transparency.

The little fairy has been popped on top of the toadstool with a pair of wings from the Wings Transparency.  The back of these wings were coloured on the back with acrylic paint.

The Journey for Bee Arty

Hello and welcome 💙

Today I'm sharing a project that is now sitting next to my bed.  I had a little 8x8 frame which was perfect for this project.

For the bottom plaque I first added a coat of Heavy Black Gesso.  After I let this sit for a minute, I used a baby wipe to remove the excess from the top and sat it aside to dry.  I then added a little Heavy White Gesso to this.  The reason I added the black first was to darken the quote and allow it to stand out more.

I took a little wooden heart and coloured it with water and Peacock Shimmer Dust.  I did a really concentrated layer and heat dried it.  This gave that really dark shade and I used a baby wipe to remove a lot of the colour.  This has given the heart a nice rustic type look.

I have used Bling Embossing Powder to colour some wings which have been made with paper clay.  To colour the little balls I put in the bottle, I used a little dry Shimmer Dust.

The metal key and birdcage have been coloured with Heavy White Gesso.  All these have been layered up with a few stars and balls and lots of matte gel.

Hope you've been inspired 💙

Fly for Scrap FX

Hi everyone,

today I'm sharing an art journal page.

This started with some messy paints and a little gloss spray with the Doily Silhouette which you can see on the far right of the pages.

I have then used the Muslin Silhouette and some white gesso randomly around the pages to mimic some clouds.

For the title, I have used a metallic marker to colour the back of a quote from the Phrases rice paper and adhered this with some matte medium.

Once I stuck down the Sea Bird Frame I gave parts of it a heavy coat with some gold crackle paste.  Platinum crackle paste has been spread also on some parts of the frame and around my pages.  Finishing off with some flicks of gold water colour.

Heart and Soul for Bee Arty

Hi there.  Today I'm sharing a canvas that I created with Bee Arty goodies.

The base of the canvas has been coated with Heavy White Gesso and a few pieces of torn book paper has been added.

I have some flourishes that I made with a mold and some paper clay.  A coat of Heavy Black Gesso has been added to these and once dry a layer of Sienna Colour Paste.

The flourishes have then been adhered to the middle of my canvas and some different sized balls added around these.  To colour these I have used a little water mixed in with some Peacock Shimmer Dust.

It was really hard to capture the beautiful shimmer of the Sienna paste and it's perfect over the black gesso.
I also added some shimmer to the wings with a Clear Shimmer Pen.

The little heart in the middle is a left over from a previous project.  If you'd like to see how this was made click on the photo below.

Hope you've been inspired 💙
